LEADERSHIP

Dr. Ramakrishnan Ramesh has over two and a half decades of experience in both academia and industry. He is a passionate teacher, committed researcher, successful administrator, and distinguished academician. He earned his Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore with a specialization in Manufacturing. He has completed projects funded by government agencies like DST and has published many of his research works in various reputed international journals and conferences.

At MVGR, he held various positions, including HOD of Mechanical Engineering and Dean of R&D, where he demonstrated his abilities over several years. He actively participated in framing the Academic Regulations for Autonomy and designing the curriculum for the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He has excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization. He was appointed as Principal of MVGR in August 2023, succeeding Dr. K. V. L. Raju, the founding principal.

Dr. Y. M. C. Sekhar joined MVGR in 1998 and has been serving the institution in various capacities ever since. He has over two and a half decades of experience at MVGR. He earned his Ph.D. from Andhra University with a specialization in alternate fuels. He is a passionate teacher, committed professional, effective administrator, and esteemed academician.

He has been actively involved in coordinating various activities, including conduct of exams, planning, delivery, evaluation, and establishing regulations for autonomy. His excellent administrative and managerial abilities enable all departments to adhere to their schedules as outlined in the academic calendar. He also liaises with the university and oversees admissions.
