Their remarkable dedication, teamwork, and innovation have brought significant recognition to the institution.
GMRIT successfully hosted the 17th edition of STEPCONE, a premier technical and cultural fest, on February 27-28, 2025. This year’s theme, "Unleash the Unreal Beyond AI," set the stage for a series of motivational talks, advanced workshops, competitive events, and flagship activities, all aimed at inspiring young minds and fostering technological advancements.
HackHub 2025 – A Thrilling AI Challenge
The HackHub 2025 was an intense 10-hour overnight hackathon, categorized into senior and junior divisions. The competition witnessed participation from over 20 teams in the senior category, battling through multiple rounds before the final evaluation. Demonstrating exceptional technical expertise and problem-solving abilities, Team "Cyphers" from MVGR College of Engineering secured the Runner-up position and won a cash prize of ₹5,000.

The problem statement for the hackathon required teams to identify and classify traffic types (buses, cars, SUVs) per day. Team Cyphers showcased their expertise by successfully implementing all outlined modules, which included:

- Daily vehicle count analytics
- Live dashboard & report generation
- Edge processing for faster analysis
- Traffic congestion prediction
- License Plate Recognition (ANPR)
- Violation detection
- Weather-based traffic analysis
