MVGR Faculty from Science & Humanities Honored with Prestigious Literary Awards

The Department of Science & Humanities, MVGR College of Engineering (Autonomous), Vizianagaram, celebrated a proud moment as two of its faculty members, Dr. K. V. Ratna Kumar and Sri B. Hari Kumar, were honored with prestigious national-level literary awards for their remarkable contributions to literature.

Dr. K. V. Ratna Kumar was conferred with the Rabindra Ratna Puraskar 2025 in the category of English Literature – Poetry (Andhra Pradesh State) on 6th September 2025. This award acknowledges his creative brilliance and outstanding contribution to English poetry, further enriching the literary field.

Sri B. Hari Kumar received the Legacy of Literature Award 2025, presented by The Literature Times, for his inspirational book “Ignite the Viratian in You”. Recognized under the category Best Non-Fiction (Self-Help), the book embodies the spirit of determination, passion, and excellence, inspired by cricket legend Virat Kohli.

These recognitions highlight the academic and creative excellence of the Science & Humanities faculty at MVGR, who continuously inspire students not only in engineering and foundational sciences but also in literature and the arts.
