Women Empowerment Cell Organizes Insightful Session on “Professional Challenges of Women”

The Women Empowerment Cell of MVGR College of Engineering organized an inspiring and thought-provoking session on the theme “Professional Challenges of Women” on 28th February 2026, exclusively for the women faculty members of the institution. The programme aimed to encourage meaningful dialogue, strengthen confidence, and empower women professionals to navigate challenges in their careers with resilience and clarity.

The session was graced by the esteemed Director, Sri P. Sitarama Raju, who addressed the gathering with an insightful and motivational speech. In his address, he emphasized that perception plays a crucial role in shaping how individuals understand and respond to situations. He noted that while perspectives may vary, it is essential to ensure that perceptions do not lead to discrimination based on colour, caste, gender, or any other differences.

The Director highlighted that feelings of inferiority often arise from within and should not be allowed to limit personal or professional progress. He explained that true professional competence is not merely determined by years of experience, but by the positive transformation in one’s thinking, attitude, and outlook towards work and life.

He further stressed the importance of self-respect and self-satisfaction in every role, encouraging faculty members to recognize their worth and contributions. He urged them to focus on meaningful engagement, work with confidence, and avoid undervaluing themselves. His address concluded with a powerful message encouraging everyone to face challenges with courage, determination, and resilience, reinforcing that confidence and perseverance are key to overcoming obstacles and achieving success.

The session witnessed active participation and engagement from the women faculty, making it highly interactive and impactful. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing sincere appreciation to the Director for his inspiring words and to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement.

The initiative reflects the institution’s continued commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and empowering environment for women professionals, enabling them to thrive both personally and professionally.
