Professional Experience

  • Serving as Professor, Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, MVGR College of Engineering (Autonomous), Vizianagaram, since April 2010.
  • Served as Associate Professor at MVGR College of Engineering from June 2004 to March 2010.
  • Served as Assistant Professor at MVGR College of Engineering from June 1999 to June 2004.
  • Served as Lecturer at AANM & VVRSR Polytechnic, Gudlavalleru, in 1998.

Academic Leadership & Institutional Contributions

  • Served as Head of the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering during June 2007 – June 2015 and February 2023 – July 2025.
  • Coordinated NBA and NAAC accreditation activities.
  • Served as the Department Research & Development Coordinator.
  • Instrumental in establishing an MoU with Siemens India Ltd.
  • Played a key role in establishing modern laboratories for the department.
  • Served as the Campus Electrical Maintenance Coordinator and contributed as a member of several institutional committees.

Doctoral Scholars – Presently Supervising

  • V. Rangavalli has been pursuing doctoral research under his supervision at JNTUK since 2016, with research focused on Expansion Planning of Micro Grids.
  •          V. S. Lakshmi has been pursuing doctoral research under his supervision at JNTU-GV since 2024, with research focused on Smart Energy Management Frameworks for AI Data Centres Co-located with Renewable Energy Systems

  • Guided 46 B.Tech. and M.Tech. projects in advanced areas of power systems and renewable energy.
  • Currently supervising doctoral research scholars in Microgrids and Smart Energy Management.

Research Grants

  • Principal Coordinator for the AICTE MODROBS Project worth ₹16.8 Lakhs for the modernization of the Electrical Machines Laboratory.
  • Principal Coordinator for the AICTE Seminar Grant worth ₹1.5 Lakhs for conducting a National Workshop on Power Quality Improvement in Hybrid Energy Systems.
