MVGR Faculty Earn NVIDIA Certification through Swecha Andhra Pradesh Deep Learning Workshop
Eleven faculty members from various departments of MVGR College of Engineering (Autonomous) have successfully completed a two-week NVIDIA Faculty Development Workshop on “Fundamentals of Deep Learning”, organized by Swecha Andhra Pradesh.
This advanced training program—valued at USD 500 (₹44,000) per participant)—was provided free of cost to MVGR as part of its recognition as a Swecha Andhra Pradesh Learning Center. The workshop was designed to equip faculty with a solid foundation in Deep Learning, Neural Networks, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), emphasizing both theoretical concepts and hands-on applications.
The sessions were led by Dr. Arun Kumar B, an NVIDIA-certified Deep Learning Instructor, whose engaging teaching style, practical demonstrations, and interactive exercises enabled participants to gain real-world experience in AI tools and frameworks.
Sri Sripath Roy, General Secretary of Swecha Andhra Pradesh, lauded the enthusiasm and participation of MVGR faculty members and commended the college for its proactive role in advancing open-source and AI-driven education.
Faculty participants appreciated the workshop’s balance of theory and practice, interactive sessions, and comprehensive doubt clarification, which made the learning experience both enriching and impactful.
Upon successful completion, all participants were awarded NVIDIA Certifications, presented by Dr. Y. M. C. Shekar, Principal of MVGR College of Engineering. Congratulating the certified faculty, Dr. Shekar emphasized the importance of continuous learning and encouraged them to inspire students toward innovation, research, and exploration of emerging technologies.
The certified faculty members also shared plans to expand Deep Learning initiatives through the Swecha Learning Center at MVGR, promoting a vibrant culture of AI literacy, collaboration, and innovation across the institution.
