Forging Future Frontiers: MVGR and Ace Designers' Collaborative MOU for Education and Industry Integration
On January 16, MVGR solidified its commitment to fostering collaborative ties between academia and industry by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ace Designers at their factory in Bangalore. This strategic partnership encompasses a broad spectrum of initiatives, including industry-institute collaboration, the exchange of faculty and students, cooperative research endeavors, consultancy projects, workshops, and opportunities for student internships. The MOU, binding the two entities in a collaborative effort, is set to span a period of five years, reflecting a long-term commitment to mutual growth and development.
The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof R. Ramesh, the Principal of MVGR, who served as one of the signing authorities along with Mr. G. Prakash, Chief Operating Officer, and Mr. T. P. Sridhar, Director - Turning Center Division, representing Ace Designers, Bangalore. This formalized agreement not only signifies a shared vision for advancing education and industry practices but also establishes a framework for meaningful collaboration in research, skill development, and knowledge exchange.
As a tangible outcome of this collaboration, six students from MVGR are currently engaged in a six-month internship at the facilities of Ace Designers in Bangalore. This hands-on experience provides them with a unique opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world industrial setting, enhancing their practical skills and gaining valuable insights into the intricacies of the manufacturing industry. The internship program serves as a testament to the immediate and tangible impact of the MOU, creating a bridge between academic learning and industry application.
