The Speaker of the event Smt. V.L. Karuna Latha, Sub-Inspector, SEB, Vizianagaram Rural Police Station, Vizianagaram addressed the management students of MVGR to convey the very need of understanding harmful situations persisting in present society through drug peddling. She mentioned the ways of drug peddling taking place in the society with some examples. She cautioned students not to indulge in any drug consumption or transport, which might ruin the careers of youngsters in the present generation. Any involvement, directly or indirectly in drug business would attract legal implications along with non-bailable imprisonment. Students have been motivated in understanding the repercussions of consumption of drugs.
She stressed on the victimization of innocent student community in drug deals is very much evident in present society. So one needs to be aware of these issues and act wisely in real life situations. If we fail to identify drug addiction like heroin, weed, cocaine and ganja then we become addicted and enslaved to drugs and invite severe health issues beyond recovery. It leads to self-destruction and collapsing our aims and aspirations. SEB Toll Free Number 14500 would be available 24/7 to tackle these issues and all the citizens can inform any drug related issues to make this state of Andhra Pradesh a drug free society. Students of MVGR College of Engineering MBA Stream have displayed adverse effects of drugs through posters.
