SEMINAR HELD ON THE OCCASION OF OBSERVANCE OF POLICE COMMEMMORATIVE WEEK AT MVGR

As per the directions of the Director General of Police, AP, Mangalagiri, and commandant Smt. Malika Garg, IPS, Commandant 5^th Battalion APSP Vizianagaram has conducted a Seminar on roping in Eminent Personalities on Police Sacrifices as a part of Police Commemorative events from 21^st to 31^st October 2024 in MVGR College of Engineering. 

Speaker Sri. Y.V. Kesava Rao, RI 5^th Battalion emphasized the young minds regarding the life sacrifices of police from protecting the anti-socialist activities by Naxalites and Maoists. Also he made a mention 21^st October as Police Commemorative Day on to honour the police officers who lost their lives in an ambush laid by Chinese troops at Hot Springs in Ladakh in 1959 and serves as a reminder of the bravery and dedication displayed by police personnel.

Speaker Sri. P. Sudhakar Babu, RI 5^th Battalion addressing the students and remembered the  31 police men from his 5^th Battalion who were lost their lives in various anti-socialistic activities and paid tributes to their life sacrifices.  He also mentioned how the police duties are assigned when any natural calamities like floods, cyclones, earthquakes etc., were occurred.

For this program, 5^th Battalion Police Staff, Principal, Dr. R. Ramesh, MVGR-NSS & FYFP Coordinator Mr. N Shanmukha Rao, MVGR Faculty, and students were present.
