MVGR College Hosts Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on 27th Annual Day Celebrations
Vizianagaram, India – February 28th, 2025
As part of the 27th annual day celebrations of MVGR College of Engineering (A), the MVGR-NSS UNIT organized a voluntary blood donation camp in collaboration with the Student Federation of Youth, NVN Blood Bank, and New Life Blood Centre.
Sri P.S. Sitarama Raju Garu, Director of MVGR, visited the camp and commended students and staff for their selfless act of donating blood, particularly to support thalassemia patients who require monthly transfusions due to low hemoglobin production. He encouraged students to actively participate in such initiatives to foster a sense of service and social responsibility.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty, resulting in the donation of 92 units of blood. The success of the camp was attributed to the collective efforts of the college community.
The occasion was graced by MVGR Principal Dr. R. Ramesh, Vice Principal Dr. Y. M. C. Sekhar Garu, Dean of Placements Dr. M. Sunil Prakash Garu, NSS and FYFP Coordinator N. Shanmukha Rao, along with staff and NSS volunteers.
